It was long ago and far away
Yet, I remember like it was yesterday.
I was so young back then, I did not know
The price I’d pay, asking you to let me go

The love I felt so long ago was real and true
You were my first, I had no clue.
That first love I had, would be the best
Now at night, I can not rest

I looked for love and lost the fight
Never finding my Mr. Right
I could not find it with another
Finding only the way, you love a brother.

I realize now I blew my chance
Never living life’s true romance
I am still grateful for the time
I felt true love, when you were mine
