My Daughter Makes Popcorn

Ask Mom if it's okay to make some popcorn.
Ask Dad, if Mom says no.
Open the bottom cabinet door.
Step on the edge; climb up on the counter.
Grab the box full of popcorn. Climb down.
Get the blue plastic bowl out (not her good striped one.)
Open the microwave. Open the box.
Get out a popcorn package. Find its top.
Read where it says "This side down."
Put it in the microwave
so that you can't read that part.

The directions say 3-5 minutes. Set the microwave for 8.
Listen to it start to pop. Watch the bag get big.
Open the microwave when the bag
gets big and quiet.
Turn the microwave back to 0.

Open the bag. Careful! It's Hot!
Dump it in the blue plastic bowl.
Throw the bag away.
Hide upstairs quickly before anyone comes
Eat all the popcorn.
Throw away the dead ones.
Don't forget to put the bowl in the sink
when you are finished or Mom will say,
No More Popcorn!
