Untitled Prayer

Started as a journal entry...became a poem...

I feel as if you’ve left me,
As if I’m all alone.
I hear your whisper,
Yet the words are unknown.

I sit here in the quiet,
Just as I do every night.
And I read your Word,
As I search for the light.

I pray a prayer of strength,
For both Kaleb and I.
That he’ll forgive me,
That this won’t be goodbye.

I feel the tears a’comin,
As I begin to cry.
You wrap your arms around me,
And I feel as if I could fly.

You’ve given me strength to face this storm,
When I didn’t know what to do.
You had faith in me,
When I felt I was loosing mine in you.

My best friend has left me,
And my world’s falling apart.
But no matter what I face,
You give strength to my heart.
