1st attempt at Terza Rima, sappy love poem for 5 in 5 contest. (done in hexameter) |
| Prompt: Romance-themed; Terza Rima form I'll not always love you. Someday my love will wane; Until then I'll be true. When earth refuses rain And dreams are dreamed not of, I'll deem you with disdain. When ruts carve clouds above, Morn's sunbeams set to fault, Undone will be my love. When tears taste not of salt, White diamonds waste to coal, My sweetheart's hymn will halt. When one half makes a whole And fireflies fail to light, I'll set to sail my soul. When rainbows lord the night, No sword exists to sheath, I'll cast you from my sight. When babes no longer teethe And raindrops upward fly, Your breathe I'll not breathe. When never's time is nigh, All mountains dive from view, Your love I will deny. Until then I'll be true, As faithful as the tide. I'll not always love you. |
