Samantha, along with her new nuclear family, chronicals their day to day adventures after surviving a nuclear attack on the US. Do to their remote location, they are unaffected by some of the effects of nuclear war, but rapidly discover that the breakdown and reforming of new societies, what she calls 'the new normal' comes with problems of its own.
