| I thank thee for the Springtime the sunshine and the rain The birds in the trees and their budding leaves The flowers in April the life that springs For you are the World all around me the earth, the sky, and the sea You are the arm that cradled me the hand that led me on and whispered in my ear of all the things to come I can hear you -- in every gentle breeze all the birds sing your praise and somewhere you sing -- I am the Springtime the sunshine and the rain I am the World -- the earth, the sky, and the sea I cradled you led you and whispered in your ear all that you needed to hear You are my future my past my end So, I thank thee for the Springtime the sunshine and the rain For you are the World all around me the earth, the sky, and the sea The arm that cradles me the hand that leads me and whispers in my ear of all the things that cannot be seen of all that I believe I thank thee -- for the Springtime the sunshine -- and the rain |
