| For a moment I forgot where I was. I looked to the past for an old friend. All is moving. I am stationary. Longing for happiness of childhood. "Remember that time..." Mother said. Yes, I remember the sweetness of that afternoon. Memories are never fleeting - they are everlasting, unlike moments. Times scurries you along, the impatient train needing to leave the platform. I feel rushed! I'm not ready yet! The song on the radio reminds me of you. "Remember that time..." the Friend said. Yes, I remember the coldness of that night. I walked along the beach collecting shells. I put them in my pocket to remember this day. Salty air, birds cooing, damp cool breeze. Remebering the smallest of details allows memories to be constant. |
