Like a fish

hmm i had a huge fight with my friend and well i was encouraged to write this piece

Like a fish in the sea you caught hold of me
I was your prevalent catch yet
One you didn’t regret
In I was reeled, pulled to shore where I was your trophy and even more
You treated me with care, since to you I was rare
Being your sole tenure you cuddled me close afraid to let me go
But then something went wrong, something I don’t understand
Causing you to drop me like a basket on the dry steaming sand
In the water is where I belong,
And with the blistering shore I knew I wouldn’t last long
It took quite a while but I made it from the coast
Bearing the hurt and the pain
Through the wind and the rain
to my initial abode.
I swam away and promised to return no more
To the place where I can lived in torture
For that instance when I held your trust, nibbling on the bait, that had me caught
I was venturing from a highway of paradise to metropolis of anguish
I know now that things have got to change and now even the sweetest thing
Can’t reel me in.
