Her friend's voice was cut off as a fine spray of blood jetted from her throat.

"Poor Christina," Emily said, "perhaps you just didn't say it right."

Emily looked down at the hand holding the knife. Her fingers were covered in blood. She brought the hand to her mouth, a look of delight on her face as she licked them.

"Mmmm.... you taste better than I thought you would."

Emily walked into the bathroom and shut the door.

"Lizzie Borden... Lizzie Borden... Lizzi--"

Her last thought, as blood poured from the slash in her neck, was "Two times is enough?"
