Scraps

Bits of inspiration
ideas scattered-
desk, counter and purse.
Waiting for life,
voice of their own.
Writer picks one up
imagination ignites.
Words scribbled furiously
across the page.
Scraps of paper beget
character, scene, plot.

Muse smiles.
