My Special One

A poem I wrote about a girl.

heart that beats ever so loud
upon my chest you lay
hand around my side just so
your smile brings warmth my way

your hair flows soft over my arm
eyes begin to close
your lips are soft to the touch
and red as a rose

I cannot help but smile
to know you are in my arms
gently kiss your forehead
protect you from all harm

love cannot explain
my emotions towards you
you are too special for words
i can't help but say I love you.
