Something we can all relate to

The writer

I sit at my keyboard, at last I’m alone.
The clicking chimes out a monotonous tone.

I must admit, I love the sound the key’s make.
For this piece I am writing could be my big break.

The typing goes on, for hour upon hour.
Never checking the clock, only feeling the power.

I must get them down, these thoughts in my head.
Or they’ll plague me long after I lie down in bed.
