He had someone special, but threw her away
Someone to sacrifice for him everyday.
He will never realize what he had, until it’s too late
She only cared for him and that became his hate.

She cried her final tears, dried her weary eyes
That part of him she loved so dear now slowly dies.
She once believed she had everything in him
Now the love that lit up her life is slowly growing dim.

He has his friends and won’t give her a second thought
When he feels empty, it will be her love he sought.
He’s looking towards his future wanting to make it great
She would have loved him regardless, now it’s much too late.

He walks away; it is too late to go in reverse
