Come


Come, take my hand 
and walk with me   
o’er God’s green land 
so wild and free.

Come, hold me near
and feel my heart
beat with the fear
that we could part.

Come, with me live.
We’ll share the pain.
So much to give,
so much to gain.

Come, with me lie
in love's embrace
that, should I die
here in this place.

I never could
have asked for more.
Love’s early bud
a red rose wore.
