The Gift

The only gift I have to give the one I love

Have I told you just how much I love you, how I need you?
I could spend the rest of my life writing sweet poetry to tell you how much I do
Or I could swim across the sea and land on your shores to show you how much I do
But what would make you feel how much I love and need and want you?

It must be a rare gift, priceless, pure and true as you are to me
It isn't something pulled from the sea, no mermaid or treasure found deep in the blue
It isn't something borne by the stars, need anymore clues?
The only gift I have for you is me, my heart, my promise, my soul for all eternity.
