Green Earth

A sweet dream of a beautiful earth

Trees everywhere,
Flowers here and there
The scented breeze,
Drifting through my hair
The place seemed to be
The home of love and care.

The sparkly dew-drops,
On the lush-green blades of grass
And not to be seen was,
Even an ant’s carcass.

I wondered, ”Is this heaven?”
For what a marvelous place this was
Then it struck me,
It’s the Earth, of course!

Everything was so green,
Much more beautiful
Than the sweetest of all dreams

Every corner was so lovely and beautiful,
No cause to be sad or fretful_
It was so pretty, so nice,
Seemed to me
Like it was Paradise.

An Earth, so lovely,
So beautiful,
So green,
Alas! It was all just a beautiful dream.
