| Morgan Sennhauser Poem A short poem about how legends are formed 2007 Last revised: September 18, 2007 Wordstones footsteps on cobbles tapping hard like fast moving fingers exploding typewriter tape stories told then hit the streets shoes grinding up your grandfather's tale off comes a piece and scattered it far grains of stories all spread around its the way legends happen words washed by winds into the curb flowing down mix with the bedrock tumble downstream words flow down to ocean waves sinking treasures bubbling downstream washed ashore on a stormy day mingle with beaches and the shells up comes a girl with shovel and pail scoops up some sand here comes our tale press it down and there's a tower this story of a story in a grain of sand |
