The Flight

The excitement of acheiving the impossible

My breath catches
in that first leap,
enraptured I free fall
for miles
Suddenly my wings
grasp the next draft,
and I am gliding on air
My heart bounces,
skips a beat,
and I am unable to
express my joy
At last there are
no cages, no boundries
that can hold me
and I am astounded
by the freedom
of flight
