Lyrical Message

just put some of my favorite lyrics together and created this poem......

I tried to be perfect
I tried to be honest
Tried to be everything that you ever wanted.

Please don’t turn your back, I can’t believe
It’s hard just to talk to you but you don’t understand.
You point the finger at me again.

I want to run away
Never say goodbye
I want to know the truth
Instead of wondering why
I want to know the answers
No more lies.

I had my fears
I let them out.
Now I wrap myself around you like
A blanket full of doubt.
You don’t like being second
I don’t like being wrong.

I don’t want to hurt you
You don’t want to hurt me.
I can’t stand you and
You can’t stand me.
I don’t know what’s worth fighting for.
I’ve opened up these scars
I’ve pulled myself so far.

I’m not afraid of tomorrow
I’m only scared of myself.
I won’t forget the way you made me feel
I won’t regret running away from here.

So I say goodbye again.
