How much is to much?

Poll Question:
While writing I come across the problem of chapter length. While writing my chapters tend to cover many pages. If you want specifics my first chapter in my port titled River of Bodies contains three and 1/4 pages. The problem was, that I wanted to theme the chapter on a much larger event. While writing it would have taken a good length to cover the larger theme, so that is the purpose of this poll. Keep in mind that it is planned to be a novel, how many pages is to much?

      15 to 20 pages, for it is a novel
