a fear, a problem that many have
Here I am
I am here when I could have run.
I stand, waiting, waiting for a signal,
A signal that it’s safe, that it’s okay.
I want to show you me, the me that’s inside.
But she’s scared, and hesitates.
She loves you and will come to meet you
She’s just waiting on a signal.
Always so strong and put together,
She’s got it all and all of it together.
She wants to break, to fall to pieces.
A signal, I need that signal
To be me, just me, she wants to be herself
And for that to be okay. She needs to breathe,
To stop running and breathe.
She’s so tired of running. I want to,
I want to show you how I feel inside
To break and fall, and crumble and to rest.
But she’s waiting on a cue
For a clue, just a sign that I’m okay to show you inside me.
I’ll show you me, if you give me the go ahead, and let me be
Just me, inside and out, just her... just me.
