The Other Side

I was having bad thoughts at the time I wrote this. I don't like how I ended it.

Rays of light shine on through
The endless shadows surrounding me
Is this a sign that something new
Will be there waiting for me?
Maybe life will be better on the other side
So I'll leave here
Leave this world behind
Say goodbye to all my pain
I'll spread my wings
And fly up high
Up into the sky
So with more cut across my skin
Maybe this will soon be the end
If not
I'll take just one more pill
I'll swallow it with some Vodka to wash it down
A sin it is to end my life
But what the hell
What could be worse then living this way I'm living now?
Darkness coming
I'm slipping away
I guess I won't be around for another day
The other side is waiting for me
Please don't be sad
We'll meet again someday
My new life will soon begin
The world goes black
As I lay here
My soul floats towards the sky
I was stupid the way I ended my life
But the other side is welcoming me...
