For Sherrellynne

As you slip away, you can hear the hearts break
There are no words to ease the unbearable ache
Too soon you will cross over to the other side
The veil will lift and you will begin your celestial ride

The stars and the heavens will welcome you home
You will fly, you will float and your soul will roam
You will be at peace and free from pain at last
You will begin your new journey, the earth your past

You have fought this fight so hard and for so long
You have never given up, you have been so strong
As you leave, a piece of us will leave with you too
We will hold you in our hearts; it's what we must do

We do not ever want to say that final goodbye
We do not ever want to shed the tears we will cry
Letting go is so overwhelming and so hard to do
But wherever you are Sherrellynne, we will always love you
