I sought after words
But they did not come
I seek for the actions to express
But there are none to be found
To convey my love and devotion

When I was young
You cradled me
When I was hurt
You bandaged me
When I was hopeless
You gave me hope

When I was loveless
You taught me to love
When I am ruthless
You teach me compassion
When I am unkind
You teach me kindness

Although my words fail me
You speak through me
Although my actions desert me
You work through me

You are the Voice in the Darkness
You are my Help in Trouble
You are my Comforter
You see my weakness
Yet you love me

Gratitude holds no place for
I can't thank you enough
You are my Constant and
Extreme Devotion

Lord I lift You high!
