The Ocean

a poem about my love for the ocean

The ocean is my one and only love
When I am feeling blue I stand on its welcoming shores
Not even the breathtaking sight of the dark and starry skies above
Can distract me from all of the oceans lures
All of my troubles flee at the oceans sound so sweet
Pushed away by the cool summer air
I am overcome by a need to feel the cool waves at my feet
And just like the sandy shore I am wiped bare
Feeling free I jump into the ocean blue
I really wish that you could join me too
