I am an idiot

Alienation makes me pure.
Introspection is my sedation.
The narcotic loneliness endures,
Ensuring my selfish pretensions 
To knowledge remain unchallenged.

An idiot in his element:
A sea of indulgent ignorance.
How fun for a frothing fool!
Full of the idealism of youth
And the persuasiveness of a sophist.
