Raji: Book One, Octavia Pompeii

In December 1925, Vincent Fusilier (Fuse), a fourteen-year-old farm boy, finds a teenage girl sleeping in the barn. He later discovers she came from India, but since she doesn’t speak English, he has no idea how she got to the Fusilier farm in Virginia.
