At Long Last

A poem written after finding the love of my life.

At long last I have found you,
I will hold you and keep you true.
I spent years wondering, hoping that one
day I would find someone
to share my dreams with.

After years of false hope
and broken hearts,
you came into my life
in an unsual way.
I stopped to use the phone
and when I turned around,
I was spellbound.

At long last we are together,
forever until the day that
we take breath no more.
At long last I have to hope
and dream for you no more.
