Because of You

a poem written after the death of my friend Shelly

Losing you so soon made me realize
We need to live life day by day
Take the chance to follow your heart
because later may never come
At any moment our life could be done
Because of you, I won't say it can wait
Because of you, I will take the chance to be happy
if only for a moment or two
Because of you, I will do things that normally I'd never dare to do
As the rain falls around me on this autumn day
i take a moment just to say
"Thank you, my dear friend, for giving me the courage to really live again!"
