Different sort of rhyming scheme, just random poetry. |
| In a old empty house With creaking doors And loosened floors And stairs that have no rail, The wind that roars, And rain that pours Only make the house more frail. The rat, the cat and the mouse, At home on the floor With the old, creaking door And oft climb stairs with no rail And while the wind roars, The cat only snores While the mouse plays with its tail. White in the basement of the house, The rat’s on the floor Beneath the cat that does snore The rat is alone in his jail Made from an old door Broken jars and more The rat’s always there, without fail. And then down comes the mouse To watch the rat snore The mouse finds it’s a bore And leaves by the stairs with no rail. She goes back to her floor Lets she, herself, snore Whilst the rain makes their home grow frail. |
