Dark of the Soul

Something has taken over my soul
Making me do things I can’t comprehend
A voice in my head says to me,
“You will feel so good after this is over.
There will be no chance of you getting caught.
They never loved you anyway.
So be a man, and do what you must.”
Save me!

My naturally green eyes glow
Red with fire and rage
As I watch my friends scream for mercy
Their blood staining my clothes
With their dying breath, they gasp,
“Why?”
A question I cannot answer

As their bodies grow cold,
And they stare lifelessly at the sky,
Laying in their own dark crimson blood,
I feel an unexplainable
Sense of satisfaction

I gaze into my friends’ lifeless eyes and smile
I am now at peace.

I am Hell on Earth.
