Parting is such sweet sorrow
I Miss You

This is not a place you would normally call home.
Pine trees aren't the most comfortable surroundings,
But they bring me hope.
This is not a place you would normally call home,
Yet I've lived here.
I've learned here,
Learned to love, learned to laugh, and learned to live
Like there's no tomorrow.
The lake, crystal clear
Brings back memories.
I never thought I'd have to leave my home.
Can't this day wait until we want it?
But I guess we'll never really want it to come.
I should be happy
But looking back, all I can feel is sorrow,
Sorrow for having to leave behind
Every joyful memory.
If you knew you had to leave
Everything you knew
How would you react?
I never thought I'd have to part with my sisters.
All I can hope for
Is the chance to return.
All I can hope for
Is to see you again.
And all I can think to say
Is I miss you.

This poem is dedicated to the twenty girls who had to part with their sisters in July 2008. I miss you. Inspired by the SP's and the songs they sing.
