One Star

Expression of love when no one can know!

We went to Dallas, on a bus we did ride
Under a blanket our fingers did hide.

We were in love but no one could know
Handholding and touching concealed by a throw.

We wanted to share and say “I Love You”
But if any found out we’d surly be through.

We need way to say how we felt
If others did hear, their scorn would be dealt.

We thought a smile, yes that would surly say
But then we knew we were smiling all day.

No this had to be special we needed a code
So on the big bus we stayed on the road.

I don’t remember from where it first came
How we could share our passion and flame.

We knew we must have, we needed it now
Then it came to us we now had our how.

For that trip and more, we would go far
To express our love, we just said “One STAR!”
