a poem of remembrance of a friend that died recently |
| Our lives must go on We sit and cry How could she die? She left us here Not to shed a tear Friends come and then go That is what these emotions show. Hold your friends close For when they go No one knows. Our lives must go on. Family is dear But don’t shed a tear You will see them again When Jesus comes again Cherish their memories Like when you picked those wild berries They are missing you to Just do what you used to do Our lives must go on. One day it you will go to They will cry for you They will say a prayer Wishing you were still there But they will remember better days Like when ya’ll swam in the sun’s rays They will remember you And the crazy things you used to do Their lives will go on So look past the pain Because there is no gain Wipe the tears away For today is a better day The tears still will be there Remember they are always there Watching you as you play Celebrating the new day Our lives must go on By: Justyn Alyx Duncan |
