Let Down

A poem about sadness and being letdown

Being let down
feeling lowdown
hurting my heart
with their sneers and frowns
hoping for understanding
wishing for a way out
I keep falling when im standing
trying my best to reach my dream
searching for a life unknown
once thought nothing could stop me
but all that courage is gone
looking for something more
only to lose so much
reaching out to the one i love
only to lose touch
i pray to have a better life
which i will posses one day
but to live in peace and harmony
seems so far away
Being let down feeling lowdown
i cant deny the pain
of getting back my dreams
and feeling complete again
i hope to lose this emptiness in
my memories or my thoughts
hoping to erase the lost battles that I fought

racing through this world
searching for
that dream driven
little girl
who in her own way
believed in the impossible
Its the start of my new day
