Infection

Physical and mental agony

My body shows signs of pain.
An aching in my stomach
Due to an infection in my side
Though the doctors tell me
It has gone away
I know it keeps pilling on

They tell me nothing is ever wrong
“It’s gone” but I know it’s not
Again and again it pounds
Trying to break out

I know its there
Looking
For some kind of light
To burst through my
Blood, bones and flesh
Leaving me dead

And everyone weeps
I knew it was there
They told me I was wrong
So now I’m dead
And they cry all alone
But it’s just how I said
