What I really mean when I say "Take me as i am"

When I say "Take me as I am" I don't mean look at me and take me for what I look like
I mean look at me and see beneath the crawling skin
See the blood and see the bone
See the mind and body and soul
Take me as I am or don't take me at all
Take me as the girl of tears that smiles like color
Take me as the heart of gold I long to be
See through my mask of happiness and wonder why I try so hard
Break open my chest and hold my still beating heart in your hands
Then put me back together with tape and glue before I bleed the last drop
Hug me until I fall and still never let go
Take me as a broken soul in a completed body
See me as a demon without wings
When I say "Take me as I am" I really mean "I love you."
