Dark Waters

Living underwater.

I swim in water that is so dark
Gliding as easily as would a shark

From the outside it does so appear
That this water is far from clear

Mud and sludge is all you find
And so you may as well be blind

From underneath I look above
But I can sense no real love
From the passerbys
Who prefer to cling to their lies

Inside the dark waters so serene
The truth is ignored that it is clean

So the passerbys ignore
The waters that they abhor

The myserious truth that lies below
Is an unseen beauty they will never know.
