The Cage

I was yours for a moment
A wild bird                             
Trapped in a cage

Content for a moment
With all the good things within

But a cage is still a cage
And a wild bird must be set free

Many cages may I encounter
Yet eventually escape

For a wild creature's place
Is not in a cage
But on its own
