Of chivalrous knights
And fire-breathing dragons.
Sing me a song of the battles they fought,
Of the demons they destroyed.
Sing me a song of the love that was then,
Of the purity that it was.
Sing me a song of the innocence,
The innocence that was that time long ago.
Sing me a song of children playing,
Of their soft voices laughing.
Sing me a song of a baby's first cry,
Of a mother's loving eyes upon her newborn.
Sing me a song of young lovers;
Tell me of their strength,
Of their trials.
But, most of all,
Sing me a song of life,
Of death,
Of all that is in between.
