Sometimes we feel so forgotten we need reasons to believe in everything, even ourselves.

My capillaries scream at me,
Forgetting how to breathe,
My body needs a reason to cross that line,
Nothing left to feed on.

Empty spaces echo resiliently,
Tumbling towards the eclipse,
Victory shadowed by defeat.

Overwhelmed with emotion,
Regret tracing every lonesome footstep,
Sticking sense of mortality sinks in,
Words full of empty promises.

Waves crash, tear away the shoreline,
Leaves fall golden and hit the ground,
Confusion reigns in organized chaos,
Eternal sunshine of the eternally flawed.

Give me a reason to believe.

Believe in the beating of a broken heart,
Believe in forgiveness of missing words ,
Believe in strength of a weakened soul,
Believe in...me.
