Just rambling

At the End of the Block


I went for a walk the other day
Just to see what I could see
I could not believe the decisions to make
At the end of every block

This road runs one way
The next road runs the other
To turn left or right or just go straight
At the end of every block

So I turn right and continue on
The view is about the same
Houses, cars and then stop signs
At the end of every block

So I turn again and walk on
As some dogs begin to bark
People wave and people talk
Toward the end of every block

I hurry on my way now
This walk to bring to an end
I've much to do and so must start
At the end of my own block
