This is an interlude... refreshing brought by a storm. |
| REFRESHING STORM Dark clouds are clustering formidably, and fearful souls outrun soon coming wrath, finding warmth and comfort most vagrantly: an escape from a drenching water bath. Thunder and lightening frighten miserably as we’re shrieking from very near misses ~ children's eyes seek consolation kisses. The sky pours forth; it reigns on mother earth. She drinks the refreshing bounty graciously, thirsty soil flourishing foliage with rebirth. Lakes, streams, rivers move fluid with dignity, replenished, pooling water ~ natures mirth. Musical parody: rain nurturing souls, nature thus refilling barren water holes. ----------- Ottava Rima poetry, written for "Invalid Item" and submitted for Day 5 - January 22.
