A poem about unreturned love. |
| All those things we never said are in pieces on the floor now and everything that hung in the balance has descended. Left to myself I turn to fantasies about a love that was never shared, and a relationship that never had its fair shot. Words cannot express how badly this scarlet letter burdens me, or how cheated I feel by this reality and how raped I feel every time I look i the mirror Running was wise, theres no blame coming to you I deal now with all these phrases like "Could have been" and "never had a chance" "If only I had" But we both know its in total vain And where your priorities have always held residence It was my pleasure to possess you It was my pleasure to distract you and now its my reluctance to let you go Fair well in every sense. |
