Painful end

A poem I wrote when my boyfriend broke up with me. And the feelings i feel now and then.

This time we shared
was the best I had
The biggest mistake
I will ever have made
but I don’t want you to go
Lasting forever in my heart
the pain will live there
to that very part
I know you loved
and so did I
the deep desire
I will keep till I die
This passion I feel
will never be gone
that is why
I will never move on
wishes I make
will not become true
Wishes for hope and affection
will never become new
So this pain I feel
will stay with me
but you will never feel the same way
I know that now
As I take this road
I will not move
I want you to stay
But don’t want you to lose
what happiness you felt
I want you to stay happy
Even if it means
I can’t be apart of that
So I feel this as I watch you
Painful and true
Not caring what to do
I keep this in mind
“I love you” you said to me once
I will find someone else
But not as good as you
