Her sideways eyes quickly looked away, intentionally too late. He had seen himself being seen.

Blushing, she tried to hide a smile.

Giggles from nearby gaggles erupted as socked feet entered her field of vision, replacing the hardwood court.

She looked up shyly before taking his offered hand; doo-wop sounds swept them onto the floor.
