What is MAN?

MAN

Sometimes a jester of comedic delight,
to others a confidante departing insight.
Part gambler shuffling cards life has dealt,
ardent lover acting on passion felt.

Faithful friend of one,
closer than a brother.
Civic and open-minded,
seeking life to be discovered.

Caveman in secluded hibernation,
part pirate venturing in exploration.
Bit of a parent sheltering and guiding,
yet still in there a child and often he's hiding.

A husband a partner,
a soulmate and friend,
Protector and knight,
his woman he will defend.

I could go on and on, but let me just end,
saying he is all of the above but most of all,
he is woman's best friend.
