A little girl views the world from safely inside her card-board box. |
Four walls that stand, ‘Round card-board floor, Brown, white, and smooth to feel. A girlish laugh, Within the fort, A giggle filled with glee. Eyes that are seen, From o’er the top, Sneaking a peek or two. Fingers are draped, So just the tips, Are playfully in view. Outside; the world, And all its noise, It’s crashes and kabooms! They’re scary but, They go away, When she ducks in her room. But now she’s bored, The empty box, Nothing inside but her. So one big push, And o’er it goes, She’s off to see the world. |
