Sowing then reaping

Perhaps...

Here I am as of late,
With nothing...but expectorate,
Yet I know I am to blame,
That I’ve not a nickel to my name!

Time on time, in days of old,
I was chided and often told,
Frankly...and on the level,
“Idleness is the workshop of the Devil!”

That is the case and now I know,
You reap only if you sow,
And if you refuse this law to obey,
Your time and life will waste away.

So shape up now and learn real good,
And do all you can...do all you should,
And all you do...do real well,
Or like me, you’ll go to Hell!
