A Lonely Teardrop

the journey of that first lonely teardrop

Watch as this lonely teardrop falls

Into an empty place

Watch it running down my cheek

Its track upon my face



Watch it turn and sparkle

As it comes within the light

Watch it as it slowly runs

Till it no longer is in sight



Can you see it as it falls

And see it’s colour change

Watch it go from red to blue

Changing within it’s range



There it goes all alone

As it continues in it’s fall

A sign of my emotions

The emotions of us all



But wait and you will hear

A sound, a sob from me

Watch as my body shudders

The emotions tearing free



But now a force has built up

Deep behind my eye

A tearing wall of water

For now it’s time to cry
